This book is a waste of time. Harsh? Maybe, but read on...

This book only covers up to the 3rd "generation" of SDR, but the 4th generation has been out for at least 7 years! This book is not that old! Yet, it makes no mention of the Flex 6000 series or any of the OpenHPSDR-based systems. Just to add insult to injury, this book is pathetically thin and comes up way short on the content it does contain. It certainly is not worth the $19.95 being charged for it.

I realize technology moves fast, but this book so out of date that I feel it should be pulled off the market due to its outdated content and inflated price.

This book is not good at all!
Simply ridiculous, book that contains no theorie, nothing... except few picture.
What is the purpose of this book???
Please don't buy that book.
I used to be an Old School Ham operator with morse code only, on 80 meters. But now I'm a savvy Software Defined Radio buff who someday will own and license equipment to operate on the higher frequencies. This is a great book for wetting your appetite for SDR and getting on the air with it.

A great waste of money. You are better off googling SDR radio, and surfing the topic than buying the book. Little information is to be found here.
This small 7-1/2" X 9" "magazine" publication is just not worth the price. IMO it's more of a "$9.95" variety.
